Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to approve provisional strategy for the Aberdeen City and Shire Structure Plan
Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Counci approved a preferred strategy for the Aberdeen City and Shire Structure Plan on 28 September 2007. They also considered a further paper on the vision to be adopted for the plan.

On-going Work
Work has been completed on the assessment of the strategic options, and a recommendation on the provisional strategic option will be reported to the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire Strategic Planning Committee on 28 September 2007.
As noted above four interim reports inform the choice of the strategic option. The decision of the committee will be published shortly after the meeting.
Infrastructure Services Committee of Aberdeenshire Council considered a progress report on the structure plan at their meeting on the 23 August 2007. At this meeting a report on the the ouutcomes of workshops held with the area committees was considered, and it was agreed to hold a dedicated seminar with all members of Aberdeenshire Council, to give final consideration to the potential strategic options prior to the meeting of the strategic planning committee on 28 September. 2007.
