| Keeping
the Plan Up-to-date - Monitoring the Plan
Monitoring of development plans is becoming increasingly important with greater emphasis on ensuring that plans are up-to-date and continue to be relevant. Both Councils are committed to keeping NEST up-to-date and ensuring that it remains relevant and responsive to the ever changing circumstances of the North East. In order to do this, the Councils have devised a monitoring scheme and a series of indicators which will measure the progress of the plan in relation to its strategy and implementation. The reports are presented to the North East Strategic Planning Committee for consideration and the covering NESPC reports are also presented here:
Two monitoring reports have been produced to-date under this scheme: Economy and Transport (March 2004) (pdf, 788Kb) NESPC 5 March 2004 Covering Report (pdf, 82Kb) Housing and Community (September 2004) (pdf, 486Kb) NESPC 10 september 2004 Covering report (pdf, 198Kb) A monitoring report covering the theme of "Environment" was anticipated in Spring 2005 with a further report on "Strategy" following in the autumn of that year. However, at the North East Scotland Strategic Planning Committee on the 3rd December 2004 it was agreed that available resources made it impossible to continue monitoring to the previously agreed timetable. No timetable for future monitoring reports has been set. |
